Shell Springboard will be open for entries from Monday the 5th October until Friday 20th November 2015, with total funding of £350,000 available in 2016.

Since launching in 2005, the programme awarded approximately £3 million to 86 dynamic enterprises. The big ideas coming out of these small businesses are not only helping to create a lower carbon, higher energy future – they are creating a new wave of jobs and growth.

Successful applicants will be shortlisted for two regional finals, meeting judging panels in Edinburgh and Cambridge in February 2016 (TBC).

At each event, three regional winners will be awarded funding of £40,000 each. These six regional winners will then go forward to the national final, which will be held in London in March 2016. At this showpiece event, one business will be crowned the national winner of Shell Springboard 2016.

This business will then receive additional funding of £110,000 – meaning that the overall national winner of Shell Springboard 2016 will receive a total of £150,000 of no-strings-attached funding to help scale up its low-carbon innovation.
