Cutting Red Tape – Government Brainstorming Workshops

As part of the Cutting Red Tape programme the Business Innovation and Skills department & Cabinet Office are holding a series of brainstorming workshops this September. While clearly every single idea generated cannot (and perhaps should not!) be taken forward, you are assured that all material will be shown to Ministers for consideration.

As part of the Cutting Red Tape programme the Business Innovation and Skills department & Cabinet Office are holding a series of brainstorming workshops to identify and explore areas of regulation or its day to day implementation which companies think are unnecessarily burdensome and which are holding them back. While clearly every single idea generated cannot (and perhaps should not!) be taken forward, you are assured that all material will be shown to Ministers for consideration.

Business Secretary, Sajid Javid, announced in July of this year:

“I am determined to take the brakes off British businesses and set them free from heavy-handed regulators. The government‚Äôs pledge to cut ¬£10 billion in red tape over the course of this parliament will help create more jobs for working people, boost productivity and keep our economy growing.¬†We want firms to tell us where red tape is holding them back and help us make Britain the best place in Europe to start and grow a business.”
